Eleanor Tosen worked at Doultons where she was a Senior Assistant, from 1885 to 1920, and was quite probably related to Ada Tosen who started work at Doultons at about the same time.
A 10” Doulton Lambeth vase with spiral decoration
One of the examples of her work shown was made in collaboration with Josephine Newnham. As both were at the time (1891-1902) Senior Assistants, it is uncertain who was responsible for the design.
A 4” Doulton Lambeth mini-jardiniére
The other work shown, a neo-Gothic mini-jardiniére, also dating from the late nineteenth century, was also the work of Emily Partington. Both items show a careful attention to precise detail. Eleanor Tosen's 'ttt' Doulton signature mark is shown below.
